PSA Interface Checker: A Tool to Verify and Update Your Lexia Diagbox Interface

If you are a Peugeot or Citroen owner, you may have heard of Lexia Diagbox, a software that allows you to diagnose and repair your vehicle using a special interface that connects to your car's OBD port. However, you may not know that there are different versions of the interface, and that some of them may not work properly with the latest version of Diagbox. In this article, we will introduce you to PSA Interface Checker, a tool that can help you verify and update your interface firmware.

What is PSA Interface Checker?

PSA Interface Checker is a free software that can be downloaded from [this link]. It is compatible with Windows XP, Vista, 7, 8 and 10. It allows you to check the firmware version of your Lexia Diagbox interface, and to flash it to a newer version if needed. It also shows you the serial number of your interface, which should be either 921815 C or 963830 C for a full chip interface. A full chip interface is one that has all the necessary components to communicate with all the modules of your vehicle, such as the ABS, airbag, engine, etc. If your interface has a serial number ending with B, it means that it is not a full chip interface, and it may not work correctly with Diagbox.

How to use PSA Interface Checker?

To use PSA Interface Checker, you need to follow these steps:

  • Connect your Lexia Diagbox interface to your computer via USB cable. You do not need to connect it to your car.

  • Install the driver for the interface automatically.

  • Run PSA Interface Checker from your desktop. Click on ACTIVATE button.

  • Click on Version button. PSA Interface Checker will show you the firmware version of your interface. The firmware version corresponds to the Diagbox version that is compatible with your interface. For example, 4.3.2 means Diagbox 7.57, 4.3.7 means Diagbox 9.68, and 4.4.0 means Diagbox 9.91 to 9.149.

  • If you want to update your firmware to a newer version, click on Version of the selected file ( button. Select file from the folder where you installed PSA Interface Checker. Click on Download the Flash App button. Wait for a few seconds until the flash is done. When the flash is done successfully, the green light/LED on your interface will keep flashing.

  • If you want to downgrade your firmware to an older version, follow the same steps as above, but select file instead of file.

Note: You should only flash your interface if you have a full chip interface with a serial number ending with C. If you have a non-full chip interface with a serial number ending with B, flashing it may damage it or make it unusable.

Why use PSA Interface Checker?

PSA Interface Checker is a useful tool for several reasons:

  • It allows you to verify if your interface is a full chip interface or not.

  • It allows you to update or downgrade your firmware according to the Diagbox version that you want to use.

  • It allows you to fix some common errors or problems that may occur with your interface, such as communication failure, unrecognized device, etc.

  • It is easy to use and does not require any technical skills or knowledge.

In conclusion, PSA Interface Checker is a handy tool for anyone who owns a Lexia Diagbox interface and wants to make sure that it works properly with their Peugeot or Citroen vehicle. It can help you check and update your firmware version, as well as troubleshoot some common issues that may arise with your interface. However, you should be careful when using it, and only flash your interface if you have a full chip interface with a serial number ending with C.
